William Hough had a dream in 1923 that he would develop a non motorized, private lake in the Adirondack Park.
This lake would have cabins set back from the shoreline and hardly be noticed through the trees. The shore owners would strive to keep their lake clean preserving its natural beauty.
Ultimately an association would be formed that would provide continuity throughout its membership. The lake bottom and its surrounding roads would be owned and managed by the association.
Today Chase's Lake has over 100 seasonal and year round shore owners co-existing with abundant wild life in a pristine Adirondack setting. Popular summer activities for residents include swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Our woods and trails are perfect for snowshoeing, horseback riding, and cross country skiing.
